Guest Thomsun
Thanks! It sure looks like one. Any particular reason for the year? It was used as a cab, so possibly a 4 door?
dan at larescorp
If it was a cab I would guess it's a DeLuxe Fordor. The year was just the first that came to mind with that grille. Others may be able to narrow down a year better than I.

nzcarnerd
From the front you can pick them by the shape of the upper corners of the grille.

Fleek
The 39 has a chrome strip in the middle of the hood that does not seem to be on the car in question, so I would guess 38.

nzcarnerd
Yes there is no doubt that the original pic is a '38.

Guest mikeburch
Another, quicker, way to tell the difference between the 1938 DELUXE and a 1939 Standard is the V8 in the center grill strip. The '39 Standard has a split "V8", See "commodore's" photo and the 1938 Deluxe has a single "V8". See my photo. My '38 piece has been sold.Thank you, mikeburchCLICK ON PHOTO TO ENLARGE
