michel88
I am in the process of rebuilding the engine in my '40 Roadmaster Coupe. To pull the engine out of these cars requires removing a good bit of the front clip. When the grille was taken out it broke on both sides at the bottom (the last two bars). The grille was pretty nice, only a little pitting and very shiny chrome. It is a die casting, and I am wondering if it could be welded or even epoxied to make it usable for now? I am running low on money and I would like to repair it at least for now. Any ideas?
Mark Shaw
Try using some JB Weld epoxy.
Pontiac59
Wouldn't hurt to drill and pin it together before epoxying. Don't need to drill it very far or very big, just enough to slip a couple of brass pins in.
