What color should this be?

I have a 1952 F-1 pickup that was built on March 20, 1952. The color code is N ( Vermillion ), but after taking every piece of rubber off it is still green. What color should I restore this pickup with? Thanks George

71333: I checked and according to the Auto Paint Color Library, Vermillion is a Tomato Red for 1947-51.

Unfortunately there is not 1952 listing. But Vermillion is a sharp Red so I would take that as a good indicator.

AS for what color to restore it with, that depends on what you are going to do with it. If your plans are to show it in an AACA event, then it only needs to be a correct color for a 1952 F-1 Pickup. (you'd want to make sure the interior and exterior are a legit combination too). AACA doesn't check the codes. If you are planing to show it at a Ford marque show then you might want to check on thier judging cause you might have to have the correct color for the tag. Like I said, depends on what your plans are.

Thank you for your help.I want to paint this the correct color, and in my research I read some possible code changes for that year. I've had more findings for the color vermillion, and I think I'am going to go with vermillion. George

I own an original paint F3 '52 Ford truck that is also green and the paint tag shows vermillion. It might have been a bad day for the color blind.
