proper routing of spark plug wires on 32

I'm trying to figure out the correct routing for the spark plug wires for my 32. On the side towards the firewall you have 6 total wires going to the distributor.

4 spark plug wires

1 spark plug wire to the center of the cap

1 wire going to the side of the distributor

Do all 6 wires go through the spark plug holder? I seem to be able to only get 5 out of six through the holder. Or am I missing a trick.

Ken,

If I recall on my car all the wires (9 total) go through the holder. The only wire that doesn't is the one the goes to the condenser. I think the reason for that is because with the spark advance that wire has to move freely.

It would make sense not to include the condenser wire in the routing, but I swore it originally went through the holder.

Well maybe Geoff will chime in here. Since his car is in it?s original state he can clue us in on how his is setup.

Look like this one is stuffed inside.

That holder looks different then mine. Mine is rectangular. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Well I changed my tactic and tried putting the condensor wire in firt. I got it to fix. Amazing what 24 hours and a good nights sleep can do.

The only issue with the wires is one wire needed to be about 1 inch longer. Not sure why he didn't make them all a little long so you could trim them to fit.

Glad it worked out - I'm not sure if I would have been able to provide accurate help.
