ELECTRIC WIREING FOR 1948 NEW YORKER ?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone make and sell original el. wire set for 1948 CHRYSLER New Yorker ?

Mostly need engine compartment and wires to the fluid srive controls. The stuff is for my friend (WPC Member).

By the way, we still havent solved the problems with no kickdown shift from 4th to 3rd and jumping 3rd when shifting to 4th in Hi.

I have done the engine area and lighting,in my 47 Chrysler Club Coupe, it was simple to say the least, the under dash is slightly more complicated........Just my thoughts Fred

Rhode Island Wiring in Rhode Island did some wiring for me...including the transmission harness...it was EXACT to specs for the car...right down to the correct colors and ends and fit perfectly and looks super.

THANK YOU very much guys !!1

I sure appreciate your help VERY MUCH ! What would I do without your help and this discussion forum ? Not much I'm afraid. I don't care much for all this modern stuff like computers and cell-phones, but I do have to admit that the internet is very helpful in finding parts and cars, and of course valuable info. like you guys give me.

As for making my own wireing, I did it ALL, (myself) on my '60 DeSoto approx 30 years ago, but this is my friend's car, and I just don't have the time to do it for him, with all the projects I have myself.

Would you have an e-mail address or a phone no. for that Rhode Island business ? You know, living here in Norway, Europe, I can't just fly over to find out

Thanks so much again, and if there is something (anything) I can do in return, don't hesistate to let me know. Hope you all have a nice spring, and getting your iron out of barns and garages and whatever, and ready for cruising.

All the best from Einar in Norway.
