Part # database ????

Recommended Posts

I forgot to check the '61/'62 number, but I tried the '66/'67 number and didn't get anything. Discontinued 12/83, so it should be in my 4/83 printed book, but it's not. Maybe not Oldsmobile? Are you sure it's trunk? Group numbers would help.

Rats! I still keep forgetin' to look at that '61/'62 number.

Got pics?

You know what? If you're taking a number off of the part, without a box, that is most likely a casting number. Casting numbers need to be converted into part numbers, but I can't convert anything that old.

you are absolutely correct!!! they are casting #'s...I found all the master parts books for Olds...'49-76 in my mother-n-laws basement yesterday...Is there a certain section to look in to do the conversion???I haven't had a chanch to look through them yet.

thanx in advance

VintageAuto,

You may want to see if the AACA Library & Research Center retains info. May be worth a shot. Not hard to do. Click on Library on the home page, or, phone Kim Miller at 717-534-2082.

Actually you would probably find the PARTS BOOKS

are worth much more than the parts !

Keep the oldest and the newest ones and a

good range in between...

as GM MASTER Parts books usually cover

about ten - fifteen years back/ book

Its not necessary to have EVERY year

to look up parts

You Can sell the extras on E-bay

Inccidently when BUYING a Parts book...

try to find one a year or two NEWER

than your car as this will show if any

slightly later model parts interchange

for your project car
