Roadster90
Drink holders is a topic that has been hashed around countless times, and I am sure the answer to my question is somewhere in the "search" or history files of the forum, but I have tried to find the answer with no success .I would like to find a very good - quality "temporary" beverage holder, and I remember someone posting a year or so ago(Padgett maybe)of a style that could be placed or stuck between the seat and the console maybe without damaging the car. I want something that doesn't look like junk, does the job, and can be removed. Will be used in the Select Sixty, and don't want to mount something (make holes and flatten carpet) that isn't OEM.Anyone remember any of these holders please....it has been a year or more, but I remember that there were a ton of suggestions....*On another note, Griot's Garage is having one of their sales, and they have a very decent beverage holder on sale...it is a mountable type of holder, but is superior (in my opinion) to any others I have seen/used...I have two of these mounted in my coupe....really nice ...Griot's item # 34690It is on sale for a wopping $2.00 off , but you can get a 4 oz bottle of their leather scent valued at $7.00 with your order....toll free # 1 800 345 5789 >>>> I tried to paste the picture of the German drink holder, but no luck with that little task either , but text follows):GERMAN-ENGINEERED CUP HOLDERThis ingeniously designed Cup Holder glides open with an easy one-hand touch. It adjusts to fit and secure all types of cups, glasses and bottles and holds 9 fluid-ounce cans or 1 liter water bottles (holds cups from 2 1/4" to 3 1/4" in diameter). In fact, it's the same cup holder used in several Mercedes models including the 500SL. When closed, measures 4 3/4"l x 4"w x 1 1/2"h. Not some cheesy accessory, but nicely made in Germany. This special priced offer expires March 22, 2007, so order today!
NYBobP
Been using the "Wedgie" from Wal-Mart in all the cars. It's about $4, is black and works perfectly. Room for 2 drinks and a cel phone or sunglasess. Goes between the console and the passenger seat. Recently found the same thing at Auto Zone in grey, which matches the grey Reatta interiors. When not in use, can be put behind the seat and out of the way. Have not found anything better.

Guest CL_Reatta
I made one out of wood that fits nicely inside of the ash tray and can be removed...just took a small piece of lumber, cut it out to fit in the ash tray, nailed a flat piece of wood on top of that, painted it gloss black. Then bought a package of cupholders that clip to a window or somethin, cut off the handle that was on it, and screwed the cup part to the wood. Doesnt look too terrible, but for like $1.50 total cost not bad.

Guest imported_dantm4
I have two euro jr.'s glued to part of a CD case that velcros over the ashtray part of the center console. I can't use the cigarette lighter or the ashtray right now, but it works great, and is adjustable to different cup sizes. -Dan90' Black/Tan Coupe

Guest CL_Reatta
Yes, that one is 100x better than my idea. Mine is for those people out there that like to take the "economic" approach to things. I know I havent been posting a lot lately. I just got finished cramming 11 years of schooling into 3 days of 3-5 hour tests.
Blue90
Nic here's another idea similar to CL's (by the way CL I hope you did well on your exams): I removed the coin holder. I cut a piece of wood to fit the opening; painted it black. I bought a cup holder from an auto supply store, called Spill Master Junior. I glued the cup holder to the block of wood. For a double holder I used two Spill Master Juniors glued to a clear side of a cd jewel case; glued a block of wood to the other side. Both cup holders stay put and remove easily. They also store in the bins behind the seats.S.
