Guest 356russ
I have spotted an early chassis that has been made into a farm trailer. I will take pictures on my next trip. It has parralel leaf springs and wood wheels. What intrigues me most are the shock absorbers. They are about 1 1/2" thick and about 6" in diameter with straps to connect to the suspension. I have not found any info on the net. Any thoughts will be appreciated. My e-mail is >rbcochiolo@yahoo.com<. Thanks, Russ.

Layden B
Sounds like snubbers rater than true shock absorbers. They don't do anything for the initial upward travel of the axle but dampen the movement of the axle away from the frame.
