Mark Shaw
The BCA PWD After-Tour will depart the BCA National Meet in Bellevue Washington on Sunday morning July 29th 2007 and head for Anacortes Washington. (Please use this link to see Anacortes) http://www.anacortes.org/video/chambervideo.movThe first annual PWD After-Tour was a great success and we expect several more prewar cars to be touring with us through the San Juan Islands & some of the most scenic parts of the Pacific Northwest. I expect that many will want to extend their stay after this tour. Centurion
Mark, wow! Your tour route looks like incredible fun! Will you have all of this information in the Bugle for other pre-war Buick owners to see? This looks like a great way to build interest and participation in the Pre-War Division. Thanks for your effort on this. Now, I need to go buy a great pre-war Buick so I can join you. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Mark Shaw
Perhaps you should be looking for a back seat? Consider this an incentive to tell other Prewar Buick owners about the PWD AfterTour. I don't mean to honk our own horns, but this tour is shaping up to be a really great one. I have toured this area twice before with the HCCA. This AfterTour will include the best of what I have seen before as well as several new stops that Jack Gerskemper and Gene Lander added to make this tour a spectacular Northwest experience!(Maybe I do want to honk some horns), Don't miss it! The Old Guy
It sounds like you and Jack have a great tour planned. Hopefully you will also have a tour after the 2008 meet as I am already committed to the BDE after tour this year. If you need any help on the 2008 , please let me know as your "hub tour" planning fits into my schedule next year perfectly.
Mark Shaw
I believe our regional director Brian Heil will be coordinating the 2008 PWD AfterTour. You might drop him a line and offer to help him. Thanks,
Guest imported_Thriller
Please note that some sources apparently had an incorrect phone number for the Cap Sante Inn - the correct phone number should be 1-800-852-0846. The correct form (without checking verifying against Mark's original post) is:Registration FormBuick Club of AmericaPre-War Division After-TourJuly 29th to August 1st, 2007Registration Deadline: June 29, 2007Tour Fees: $100 for car and driver, $50 adult passenger, $30 child under 12 yrs. Mark Shaw
We currently have 12 cars and 25 participants for this tour, & we have been busy making final preparations: I have been upgrading the trouble trailer for the tour with new tires, paint (it really needed refreshing),recharged winch battery and lubed all the bearings. I have also been working on our final version of the tour booklets with some last minute changes to enhance the scenic routes; while Jack confirmed our reservations at restraunts, parks, & tours included in our four day event. Jack will assemble the booklets next week & we will be ready to go.
