Yes, November 1st marks the OFFICIAL Parking of the Chrysler TC's for the year. All together I put 3500 miles on the pair, did 4 oil changes, 1 tune-up, and spent about 10 hours washing/waxing these beauties. I also had 3 Very Near misses, and had a good sized rock hit my windshield...No breakage!

Here's to a WARMER 2007, and an Early Spring!

Yep. Mine is getting rolled in about 1 or 2 weeks. (blew the head gasket) Total engine rebuild, pull the seats for reupholstering. Maybe paint it since I have a spray booth. Or at least blend in the parts with bad clearcoat.

(Don't tell the wife that it doesn't cost $800 to have the head "checked".)

Hmm, 87 degrees here today and hotter tomorrow... Going for a little cruise after dark tonight and no doubt I'll find some excuse for some top down motoring this weekend.

BTW the new 523/568 5spd OBX posi transmission is worlds smoother than the OE 284 5 spd. I'm betting not as strong but I can get no less than ten different styles of clutches, and axles, and gearset parts, and...

Well, it's a Sunny 40 here today, but no time really...

I've been thinking that MAY be the way to go. Swap out the 284 before something goes wrong, and use an available 5Spd. Even 525/555/etc...If I ever decide to re-sell the "Yellow Car", I'll have the OE tranny, in decent shape. What about the Head?!?

Okay, it hit 60 today in SEM(SouthEastMichigan), and I COULDN'T Resist one last drive in the Yellow Car! I drove a leasiurely 100 miles, mostly back roads, with lots of changing leaves, and water. It was almost enough to make me want to wash her one last time! But, alas, That will have to wait until tomorrow.

I too found some time for some spirited driving this weekend. I haven't actually cranked up the boost yet to see how the new head affects performance, but according to the AF meter it is flowing as much or more air thru the motor at 12psi than it used to at 17psi on the stock head I'm thinking it's gonna be making some power soon

One thing did go wrong while it sat for nearly a year, went to crank the car for the first time couple weeks ago and nothing... No fuel pump activation and no starter after bypassing the starter relay and the ASD it runs. Now the ASD is working but the starter won't engage even after changing the relay So it has to be in the ignition switch. For now I am just turning on the key and running 12V to the starter relay briefly until the motor lights. Kind of less than optimal having to pop the hood every time I start the car

Fortunately, living in Arizona means that the TCs can come out to play most any time of the year. Top down weather is better in the winter time as summers are 120 degrees and a little too hot on the old dome.

Will be taking 'red' to Phoenix, PIR, in a week and a half. It should be a nice drive from the Bullhead City/Colorado River area.

To all you in the cold country, take care and keep warm.
