Ed51
I'm trying to prep my car for paint and I can't seem to figure how the chrome on top of the fins is held on and how to safely remove it.Is it removed from the inside or is it held on with external clips? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
rocketraider
In the trunk- you'll find a couple of studs with plastic acorn nuts on them. I can't remember exactly without looking at the shop book, but there may also be a stud at the very front of the crown spear- seems like I had to loosen one to get the crown off a junkyard Starfire once. Get those loose and the moulding can be pried off the pinchweld clips.
Ed51
Thanks.I found the studs and there did seem to be nuts on them ,but I could not budge them.I wanted to check it out with someone who did it,before I resort to exerting major force on them.
