Thanks.I found the studs and there did seem to be nuts on them ,but I could not budge them.I wanted to check it out with someone who did it,before I resort to exerting major force on them. Ed

I'm trying to prep my car for paint and I can't seem to figure how the chrome on top of the fins is held on and how to safely remove it.Is it removed from the inside or is it held on with external clips? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I need the hood letters "L" & "E" and the driver side chrome strip for my 64 D88. THANKS
