fatratmatt Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE MOLDING ON THE FENDER EXTENTION IS CALLED IT SITS ON TOP OF THE FENDER AND IS ABOUT 8" LONG AND CURVES DOWN TO THE EYE BROW MOLDING? THIS MOLDING IS THE LAST PIECE IN A SET OF 4 PIECES. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO MIGHT HAVE THIS PIECE?
rocketraider Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Best I can tell from the parts book is "Molding pkg (front peak), 1968 5400 (Delmont), 6400 (Delta), 6600 (Delta Custom)" So that means it's common to all the B cars, which may make it a little easier to find. Grp 8.132, p/n 230524 RH, 230525 LH. The rear (longer) pieces are 230526 RH, 230527 LH. Good luck. I have no idea who might have one.
fatratmatt Posted September 12, 2006 Author Posted September 12, 2006 thank you very much now at least I have a part number and a name of this piece to further my search, its all i'm lacking of a complete car. Any clues about production numbers for a 68 Delmont 88 holiday coupe? I see 4 doors and convertibles but no 2 door coups. That car has such a nice body line I'm amazed I dont see many of them at shows or on the web, Delta yes but no Delmonts. Very nice full size curiser! It brings alot of looks at my local show in south florida.
rocketraider Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 18391 1968 Delmont Holiday Coupes per The Standard Catalog of Oldsmobile. 67-8 big Olds are some of the best looking ever, but sadly unappreciated by most. All a lot of people see is a big block waiting to be stuffed into a Cutlass.
