  1. I added a bumper strip to the rear of my Delmont 88, I know it wasn't an option for The Delmont (although it should of been) It looks too good to not have on the back. Anyway I picked up speed bolts at Lowe's. I used an 3/16" stud, 3/8 Hex type and it works perfect. The hard part was getting my arm up behind the bumper without taking the bumper off. It can be done. A ratchet and socket was my weapon of choice. Good Luck to ya.
  2. I will be showing at an AACA show this month for the first time. Do they let you see your scores after the show is over. It would be nice to see where improvements are needed and a judging sheet would give you alot of info into this matter. It's the regional show in Stuart Florida this oct.
  3. Thanks to all...Oldsfan, Rocketraider, mick32chevy, Wayne, I went to E-bay lo and behold I fould what I was looking for for less than 20.00 plus shipping what a deal. My bumper must be off of a Delta because it has the holes already cut into it, it might not be stock on my Delmont but like I said it looks to good not to use those holes. What I dont understand is that in the "Oldsmobile for 68" book it shows the rear of a Delmont with the name plate attached.Mick32chevy that is one fine looking Delta, I love the Big car!!! Bigger is better. I'll put the piece on my car and add a shot of it in the comming weeks. Thanks again guys you helped me out alot!
  4. oldsfan that would be great, Rocketraider gave the part number for the peak molding sometime ago and i was lucky to find it on e-bay. Do you know of any after market or fabricating shops who might have or be able to produce something like that? I'm down to the last little details with this car and want it to be right,You dont see too many of these out there.
  5. Can any one tell me...I seen a 68 Delmont 88 convertible ad and noticed that the rear bumper had OLDSMOBILE across the middle of the bumper between the two tail lights, Was that piece only available on the flip top or could that piece be found on a 2 door coupe. I think thats a nice piece and I'm thinking of putting it on the rear of my coupe's bumper...Does anyone khow the part number of that piece? Is it available in reproduction? Thank -you
  6. thank you very much now at least I have a part number and a name of this piece to further my search, its all i'm lacking of a complete car. Any clues about production numbers for a 68 Delmont 88 holiday coupe? I see 4 doors and convertibles but no 2 door coups. That car has such a nice body line I'm amazed I dont see many of them at shows or on the web, Delta yes but no Delmonts. Very nice full size curiser! It brings alot of looks at my local show in south florida.
  7. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE MOLDING ON THE FENDER EXTENTION IS CALLED IT SITS ON TOP OF THE FENDER AND IS ABOUT 8" LONG AND CURVES DOWN TO THE EYE BROW MOLDING? THIS MOLDING IS THE LAST PIECE IN A SET OF 4 PIECES. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO MIGHT HAVE THIS PIECE?
