MarkSchwartzkopf
Hello,I have three used starter/generators for a 1923 Dodge that came from my grandfathers garage. I am unsure of the working condition of these, but they all spin by hand. Any help would be appreciated.ThanksMark1951 Chevy p/u
Friartuck
Mark, I think it would more helpful if you can list the make and model of these units. The same units are used for differant applications and unless you were a Dodge person, you wouldn't know. Like for Lincolns, a DELCO 193 A and C models were used.Chris

nearchoclatetown
What is it you want to know about them? If I remember right, they should spin at about 350 RPMs when powered by a battery. But that won't tell you if they charge.
MarkSchwartzkopf
Oh.. sorry I failed to mention that I wanted to sell these. I guess I'm not of to a good START (ba dum ching):-) I am working on a 51 Chevy P/U so these will be of no use on that project. I got some more information on them now though.they are:North East Electric Co.Model - GSType - 3804 one of them is a Type 3804A12 VoltsThey all spin when connected to 12v. as for charging, that will require some more testing later.I was going to try my luck on ebay with them but did not know if there would even be a market for these.I guess I could always rewind them like my grandpa did and make a portable generator!?Thanks againMark
