1923 Dodge Starter Generator(s)

Recommended Posts

Mark, I think it would more helpful if you can list the make and model of these units. The same units are used for differant applications and unless you were a Dodge person, you wouldn't know. Like for Lincolns, a DELCO 193 A and C models were used.

Oh.. sorry I failed to mention that I wanted to sell these. I guess I'm not of to a good START (ba dum ching):-) I am working on a 51 Chevy P/U so these will be of no use on that project. I got some more information on them now though.

they are:

North East Electric Co.

Model - GS

Type - 3804 one of them is a Type 3804A

12 Volts

They all spin when connected to 12v. as for charging, that will require some more testing later.

I was going to try my luck on ebay with them but did not know if there would even be a market for these.

I guess I could always rewind them like my grandpa did and make a portable generator!?

Thanks again

Mark
