taskytaskerson
My damn drivers side window is stuck half way down and it won't stop raining. The down switch rolls it down, but the up switch doesn't do a thing. For awhile the up switch barely worked, only moving about 1/2 an inch at a time with around a half an hour in between each button push, which would take all day or more. Help me please !!!!!!!!!!!!! Vincent Vega
Could be:bad motorBinding in the channelThe motors have an internal circuit breaker. Too many amps drawn and it trips the breaker. It goes down easier because gravity helps. Can you "help it" up?Swapping out a motor in these is not for the faint of heart. taskytaskerson
No, the window won't budge upwards no matter how much I help it. The motor has recently been replaced because of the same problem.
Vincent Vega
Having just gone through the task of tracing a bad wire for the window I suspect the wiring is OK. There are two wires that go to the motor. It is a reversing motor, which means if it works one way (up or down)the wiring is good. The switch determines which wire is hot and which is ground. You can bypass the switch to operate the motor. I would look into binding as the cause. Something may be out of adjustment after the motor was replaced. The guide(s) may be broken as well. Did it work OK after the motor was replaced?
Shelby
When the rain stops the window will go right up.
