Guest chieflander
Where is the car located? Does it run?
Shop Rat
It is located in Charleston, W. Va. and I am not sure if it runs or not, but I can sure find that out. Or you can contact Scott directly and he can tell you all about it. I know that he said lots of extras go with this car. When it goes, it all goes. Let me know if you want me to find out if it runs or you want to talk to him.
Guest chieflander
I am located in Bluefield, so I am VERY interested. If the motor will turn, it's probably fixable. Unless there's a crack in the block or something like that. I would like to talk to the guy who has it. Hopefully, it'll run with a little work! Shop Rat
Bill and I had lunch with Scott today. Below is what he sent in an e-mail. He also said the car is all original except the paint. He said it was repainted in 1955.Message from Scott:"The Peerless would run but I have never started it due to some teeth off the flywheel and I refuse to crank it. Also some pot metal parts that allow the oil pan to seal need replaced. (I have new aluminum ones)." He also has additional photos he can send. Peter J.Heizmann
Susan, thank you for bumping Scott's thread to the top.(1928 Peerless) Tom, our AACA Library & Research Center could very easily be the source for you to start. On the Main Page, click on "Library". A literature / information request form is noted. The AACA retains a full-time staff for assistance. Regards,Peter J... <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Shop Rat
I will check and see if Scott has any literature that applies to a 1928 Peerless that will not be going with his Peerless when it sells. He wants his car/parts/etc. to go as a package if possible. And Peter J. is correct, the AACA Library is a wonderful source of documentation. They have great people working there that will be very happy to help you.
