Thanks Peter - I do hope that all our Region and Chapter webmasters will pay close attention to your notice as we (the AACA Internet Committee) are quietly working away reviewing every single website linked to our national site. As you are all aware, there will be some significant recognition at years end for the best sites with some major awards given out at our Annual Meeting in Philadelphia (Feb 06). One of the factors that we use in evaluating sites is currency of information. Naturally, we will be quite forgiving during the time frame when our own site update and server mods will preculde individual groups from updating. However, over the course of the year, timeliness of info and keeping those sites updated remains a big piece of what we consider. We are not just looking for a "bill-board" type of website rather we are looking at sites that do a good job of reporting their events and encouraging participation. So, be sure to keep your sites updated and remember to consider how important they can be in recruiting new members and keeping your current ones active. Its no coincidence that the strongest regions and chapters in AACA have great newsletters and also great websites!
