89 Touch Screen Assembly needed

In my experiences with the touchscreens,(CRT), the most common problem causing your maladies is the connector working loose. Check for this before replacing an otherwise good CRT.

Sometimes the touch still works without the display visible.

Look at the screen shots in the owner's manual and try to touch the screen where a button should be. i.e. turn on/off the radio or heat. If you've ever had to operate Windows or DOS after choosing the wrong video card or refresh rate, without seeing what you're doing, kinda' like CARNAC discerning the question to the answer in an envelope which has been stored on Funk and Wagnell's front porch since noon today.

Carefull you don't end up in the diagnostic by mistake, you can get in trouble in there!

Happy Hunting (for buttons)

Randy.
