Matt Harwood
For you professional car fans. Looks to be in solid restorable shape. Very interesting piece, in my opinion, though I bet the reserve is unrealistic. I believe most '41 professional cars were built on the Super chassis, though this car doesn't show any easily-identifiable markers as to which chassis it uses.Hope one of you guys can give it a home. 1941 Buick Ambulance
Centurion
Thanks, Matt, for the link. This is definitely a Flxible because of the unique, raised hood line that improved the overall proportions of these massive cars. Too bad there's not a full side photo of this one. The original Flxible publicity photos show these to be very impressively styled cars.
Matt Harwood
I did some double-checking, and it seems that Flxible professional cars like this one were actually built on Limited chassis. Many flower cars were Supers, but hearses and ambulances were actually Limiteds. Very interesting...
huffreport
Hi Matt,Thanks for sharing this link... Do you know what the reserve is? I think the opening bid of $3,500 is actually pretty reasonable...TIA,Kevin
