92672
Anyone parting out a Reatta and have the assembly parts of the driver's side door? I have a 90 that needs the swivel and latch assembly. The door latch doesn't work from the outside, and the repair shop is having difficulty ascertaining exactly what is needed - plus some of it has to come from Detroit and ain't cheap. Thanks ! Shelby
There is a part avaible at NAPA to replace the outside door latch. It need to be painted to match but doesn't have the mounting switch for the security system. The problem with a used one is,is it is 15 years old and pretty worn out. These are not that easy to put in So go with a New one. The Reatta Dudes in Azizona get two atta boy for that. They know the part #
reattadudes
the NAPA part nuumber is 735-4566 for the left door handle, but don't bother looking for it. we bought 543 of them in the past year, and cleaned out NAPA, AutoZone, and every supplier in the US and Canada, including GM.we have sold them all, and are hoping that an aftermarket supplier steps up to the plate and begins reproducing them again.Mike

padgett
"The door latch doesn't work from the outside,"Just a thought: when I installed the new door, the latch did not work either but after unscrewing (lengthening) the rod with the yellow tip (connects door handle to lock mechanism) about six turns it works fine. Could it be that yours just needs adjusting ?Using a slim and unsupported rod in compression is really not a great engineering design.
