LeSabre Hearse

This car caught my eye as being something I never knew existed. A 1987 LeSabre Hearse. I think I've seen a 87-90 Electra converted to a hearse but never a LeSabre. Looks very nice, I think. Interesting how they moved the power antenna, as it is usually mounted on the rear fender. Just thought it was unusual.

Randy, thanks for sharing the link. Among the 1980's era Buick hearses, I have seen only the rear-drive Estate Wagon conversions. This is the first conversion of a front-wheel-drive Buick I've seen, and I think it's a nicely done conversion.

By the way, I see that you have a '91 LeSabre Limited Coupe. I have the '89 LeSabre Limited Coupe, and it's an excellent and beautiful car that serves as my daily driver. It may be the oldest vehicle in the company parking lot, but it is also the classiest.

Take a look at the Doug Scott funeral car dealership site - www.funeralcars.com. There is a similar odd FWD stretch Buick for sale there - an '88 LeSabre six door sedan. It looks like a very nice car and it has an especially pleasing color combination. One would think that a uni-body FWD car would not lend itself to a strecth as well as a body on frame RWD car. Do you suppose these cars sag or creak?

I must say this is the first FWD Buick hearse I have ever seen. The only othe one was the "very often seen" 1980s RWD LeSabre wagon on E-bay. Thanks for posting!
