  1. We have had a '91 Limited for almost 4 years. I assume a Limited would be very rare. Our son uses it at college. I would definitely recommend buying one.
  2. I just noticed this 72 Estate Wagon. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-Buic...1QQcmdZViewItem Looks to be very plain - no 3rd seat, power windows, locks, or seats. Also lacks the power tailgate. Could those be the original hub caps? Also, did Buick offer an Electra and LeSabre Estate wagon at that time or were all the full size wagons just called Estate? If so, how are they different? The listing doesn't say if it's an Electra or LeSabre.
  3. Another thing I noticed on this wagon was it does not have the power tailgate. We had a '72 Olds Custom Cruiser when I was a kid and it had the manual tailgate. Only the rear window was power. The tailgate was raised and lowered by hand. It was kind of difficult for us kids as I remember. It seemed to me that the power tailgate was alot more common than the manual, at least on the Buick and Oldsmobiles.
  4. I don't know if you're still looking, or if this is what you would be interested in, but I happened to see this on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Classic-C...1QQcmdZViewItem
  5. I saw that episode. I thought the same thing when they where talking about the louvers. I was surprised the owner did not know what they where for. I thought it was interesting about the two piece rear window they used only in '71. I never knew they had an issue with it coming apart and jettisoning forward in a crash. It was a very nice car. Here's a link to the episode description - http://www.myclassiccar.com/MCCTV/2005Season/10006/npd.shtml and some photos - http://www.myclassiccar.com/MCCTV/2005Season/10006/gallery.shtml
  6. I'm going to take a guess here, but it looks like it has '75 fenders. The '75's had the front side markers in the bumper so there were none in the fender (except cornering lights if so equiped). I noticed in the drivers side picture the fender, hood, and door don't seem to match up very well. Again, I could be wrong, just a guess.
  7. Well, our son had his first accident in the '91 LeSabre and messed up the front of the hood, the grill, the bumper cover, headlights, ect. Anybody have any of these or know of a good source. We would be interested in buying a complete parts car as there some other small parts we always did need. Thanks for your help. - Randy
  8. Here's a 73 Electra 225 close to me - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=80732&item=4552231508&rd=1 Looks to be interesting with the vinyl power bench seat and lack of power windows, although it has alot of other options - power locks, a/c, cruise, tilt, cornering lights, ect. Do you think it had a vinyl top and it was removed and painted? It kind of sounds like it in the description. If not, could you order an Electra with a different color painted top? Just caught my eye and thought it was interesting.
  9. Thanks for the replies. I always liked the 72 Sun Coupes. Never realized they continued being offered after that.
  10. Brian - We really enjoy our LeSabre. It is driven mainly be our teenage son who is 6'3". It gives him plenty of room while still being comfortable and, being a 2 door, has a sporty look to it. Insurance is cheap too!
  11. Nice car. I like the color. I also noticed it lacks power locks. I would have thought most of these luxuries would have been standard or at least very common with the Limited trim.
  12. I find it interesting while searching through ebay for cars at the things I see and learn. Does anybody know if Buick had a factory Sun Coupe in 1973. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...bayphotohosting I see in the rear windows the "Sun Coupe" insignia and it does have a sun roof, although not the same type as the earlier sun coupe roof. Or maybe this was a dealer added thing. Looks like a heavily optioned car too. I don't know if I care much for the bench seat though. Buckets and a console would be nice. Also saw this other Buick - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6144&item=4521554518&rd=1 Owner states this Estate wagon is rare. Every more so than the Caballero. Looks like a very nice wagon.
  13. This car caught my eye as being something I never knew existed. A 1987 LeSabre Hearse. I think I've seen a 87-90 Electra converted to a hearse but never a LeSabre. Looks very nice, I think. Interesting how they moved the power antenna, as it is usually mounted on the rear fender. Just thought it was unusual. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6138&item=4522117870&rd=1
  14. Here's a 72 Electra with power windows, but also has the shorter armrest with the window controls mounted on the door instead of on the longer armrest you commonly see. Same as the LeSabre or Centurion. First time I've seen that setup on an Electra. Also has power seat, tilt, cruise, wiper control on the shifter, but no (factory) passenger side mirror and no power door locks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...ssPageName=WDVW Also, another 72 with no options but A/C. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...ssPageName=WDVW
  15. Hey John! I am sorry I haven't gotten back with you. I'm back at work after having the holidays off so I've been busy. Thanks for the offer and for taking the time to find one. A friend I work with here has one that he will give me, so it doesn't look like I will need to buy one. Again, thanks for the help and I'll keep you in mind if any other needs come up. Randy
