350ci Stage 1 T/A alum manifold question

I noticed on the Stage 1 T/A aluminum intake manifold for the 350, the rear coolant passageways are blocked off. There are port passageways in the heads so why is the manifold designed not to allow coolant to flow through?

I dunno. Any info on this manifold would be helpful.

Oh yeah, the intake has the name "Tom Aszewski" cast to the rear of where the carb sits and the engine is a 1970 350 with the SB heads.

Tom Aszewski is actually Mike Tomaszewski, who developed the manifold. Hence the name TA Performance. It should bolt right on. Don't worry about blocking anything on a 70 350 engine. It'll work great!

The rear coolant passageways may be for a later engine that uses coolant passing next to the EGR channel. Since the '70 model doesn't have an EGR valve, the passageways are blocked.
