1936 4 door master deluxe

I bought a 1936 4 door master deluxe chevy last year. It has the wing windows front and back. I saw 2 for sale on e-bay and each owner claimed that there were only 300 of these left in the world. I e-mailed each owner to ask how they could verify that there were only 300 left in the world. Neither person e-mailed me back so I am suspicious as to the truth of this statement.

I know that they only made the 36 styling for one year, but I did not know that the master deluxe was so rare. Could someone please give me some info and let me know wether this is true or not.

Thanks in advance, Mike

Michael...Welcome to the AACA Forum.

Suggestion: scroll down on the Main Page and post this in the "General Motors Products - Chevrolet" section. More exposure.

Michael,

I'm not sure how those two fellows would know with certainty that only 300 of these sedans are left. I never heard of a registry conducted on 1936 Chevrolets. I assume you have the Master Deluxe Sports Sedan with the trunk? I show where they made 140,073 Sports Sedans. I would like to think more than 300 are still around, but who really knows for sure? However, they did only make 14,536 Master Deluxe Sedans without the integral trunk, so there I would believe not that many exist. That's about the best I can do for you.

Rick
