Guest
I'm new to rebuilding and would like to know how I could get information on a 47 Plymouth Sedan. Can I send the VIN# to chrysler and get the info for the individual car?
Guest
You can get info from the AACA Library. Also,
look up The Plymouth Owner's Club web site.
I have a 46 Plymouth and finding parts is not real difficult. What kind of info were you looking for? E-mail me direct, and I'll tell you about finding parts etc. Good luck with your car!
novaman
Father Ron, I'm going to help you here.
Please, don't go to using email. There are a lot of other folks on here that may have Chrysler / Plymouth products that could benefit from your discussion. Email is fine for private infromation.
I for one know of someone that is working on a Plymouth and could benefit from this knowledge.
Thank you.
[This message has been edited by novaman (edited 12-24-2000).]
ply33
If you contact the Chrysler Historical Collection they can get you information about the original paint colors, etc. They can also send you a copy of the "build card" for your car.
You can get the address information from my web site.
For your postwar car, another good site to know about is the P15 and D24 web site
Tod
------------------
Plymouth: The First Decade
[This message has been edited by TodFitch (edited 12-24-2000).]
Guest
Parts & tech manuals can be obtained from
Andy Bernbaum, 1-617-244-1118. I have had good luck with the parts obtained here. Also,
contact Neil Riddle at 1-206-285-6534 days Pacific time. A lot of the mechanical parts can be obtained from your local NAPA parts store. Precision Body, 225 N.E. 47th Place, Des Moines, Il 50313 (phone 515-543-8285) is reproducing floorboards, rockers, etc. for the P-15.
There is also a newsletter dedicated to the P-15 ( The P-15 Newsletter) contact Jim Lehman, c/o Associates Newsletter Bureau, LTD, 100 S. Atkinson Rd, Suite 212, Grayslake, Il 6003
I hope this will get you started in the right direction. Also it may help some other people restoring these vehicles. Guest
Of course, I overlooked the most obvious place to look for parts. Go to your local book store and pick up a copy of Hemming's Motor News. Good Luck and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
