670 miles driven in less than 30 hours and not even a hiccup from the TC. The new suspension

has now been tested to 135MPH (hard to tell but the speedo was pointing strai down) and it is very stable at speed.

The rest of the gang (45-50 cars hard to say for sure) is still at Harrah's in Laughlin but I am not retired quite yet so it

is off to work for me Monday morning. So many high points in the trip, an indepth talk by Robert Davis the orignal

project manager for the TC's, tech sessions, qustions and answer sessions but mostly just meeting up with other TC

enthusiasts <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Lots of the gang have been to ten or more conventions but I did meet a few first timers like myself

and we were made to feel welcome.

I did take some pics and I'll try to attach one, but it is my first attempt at posting a pic on this list. Looking forward to

next year and maybe staying for the whole meet <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

At an avg. speed of 20MPH there should be no hiccups <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Good point but there was the 19 hours I spent in Laughlin for the Saturday dinner

and Sunday question/answer session. Wish I could have stayed for the driving

tour and the demos by the gang from TC Parts. Rumor had it they were going

to dissasemble an entire TC, then put it back together right in the parking lot! <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

Alan,

You must have been talking to Henning Andersen - we did not take an entire car apart..... well, we *could* have....

We demonstrated the pull down mechanism r&r, speedometer r&r, top rail, turn signal lamp removal, headlamp adjustment, seat plug repair, door adjustment, center console switches, and some differences between the production dates. A bunch of people were looking for you asking exactly *what* the $50 for 50HP was all about!

I would certainly be thrilled to know more about how to get more out of the 8v and still pass the IM 240 emission test. Because the TC has the 1988 and the common block engines (in both the 8v and 16v models), are there different modifications for the different engines?

Thank you very much for being on the Saturday morning panel - I am not a mechanic by any means, and nobody in the group has ever really offered any of the solutions for performance like you have. Us "old timers" REALLY appreciate your input!

Larry

Glad you made it with no troubles, one of the cars I listened to in Laughlin had some serious

connecting rod issues <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

What I want to know is, what does Sally do with that clipboard and all those VIN #'s??

Some kind of top secret database <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

It was nice to meet up with some of the gang from the faraway coast, did you get the long distance

award?
