fatboy
Well today i crawled my fat ass underneath and went to change the oil, and guess what i found. A sensor that is plugged into my oil pan that has been cut. Do i need to worry about that or not?
charlie1
Should not be a problem as long as you do not let your oil level run low. Personally i would replace the sensor with a new one get a new wire connector from junk yard and hook it up. Chances are the sesor went bad and insted of spending the $30.00 or so to replace it they took the cheap way out.Good luckCharlie
Coop
I woudn't worry about it. Only thing that sensor does is turn on the low oil light on the dash. On our Reatta it was on all the time whether it was low or not. Probably the same thing on yours, and alot of other Reattas from what I've seen. If you're trying to keep the car original then it's a good thing to replace, if not then just let it go.
