Guest
is there anyway of opening up the desh behind the steering wheel?
harry yarnell
"opening up" is a broad term. I assume you mean the IPC (instrument panel cluster). Depending on what year you have, the chrome plastic bezel has to come off, then there are four 7mm head hex screws to remove, and the panel's in your hand. As to opening up the IPC after that, it becomes obvious which screws to remove. Alot of electronics in there.
Barney Eaton
First we need to know what year Reatta you have. On '88-89's you pull the clear cover over the IP which exposes the attachment screws.'90 there are four screws as Harry states, after removing the screws, the bezel (that surrounds the dash) pulls straight out with the help of any hooked tool. The '91 was cost reduced and the two screws over the IP were eliminated. FlyByNite
Four T15 Torx screws at about the corners. There are Factory Service Manuals and Parts and Illustrations at www.reatta.net.
