Guest GS70Stage1
Lots of press today (slow news day?) on ford building it's 300 million car. Where is info on Buick and/or when did they celebrate the 300 million car? Just curious.
BUICK RACER
Ken, in 1999 Buick was at 35 Million, probably around 38M through 2003!
NTX5467
You reckon the Ford "milestone" might have received the same press coverage if the particular vehicle had not been a red Mustang, but a Police spec Crown Victoria or a regular Grand Marquis?NTX5467
Guest GS70Stage1
Thanks for the actual number even though I was hoping it wouldn't be that big a spread. Both starting in '03, I thought Buick had done a much better job keeping up - not that my bias is showing.
Don McClair
Ken, while Buick may not have built as many cars as Ford, you can attest to the Centennial Celebration that was put on by Buick. Someone correct me if I am wrong but I think that Ford had their 100th anniversary about two weeks before ours and I don't think that it was advertised nearly as much as ours was and I know that the Classic Thunderbird Club publication did not even make mention of it. Quality over quanity? You did raise an intersting point and thanks Roberta for giving us the numbers.
