Guest
Time for a 200-4R swap in my 65 Skylark.. I know that Hot Rod Magazine did an article on this swap in the August 2000 issue... So if you want to get rid of your copy, let me know. Thanks
Guest COMPACTBC
If you want a copy, get a hold of Hot Rod Magazine, I'm sure for $$$ they will send you a copy.
YellowLark
You can get copies of articles online from Hot Rod's website. You give them a credit card, and the next day, they email you a website where you can get the article.
After reading that article, I took it to a racing trans shop, along with my '66 Skylark, and they built and installed a 200-4R for street use. It was a bolt-in, and a non-lockup convertor was used.
I love it. The car runs 2200 rpm at 75 mph. Mileage has greatly increased.

However, they kept the magazine. The Old Guy
I have a 200-R4 in my 72 and if you want a lock up convertor, use a corvette and get the lock up kit from TCI .It works GREAT!!
