CUTTING AROSS CANADA

Any Buffalo people plan on driving across Canada to get to Flint?

Will it be a short cut, or will the boarder crossing kill any time savings?

Dear Tommy 1927,Not going to Flint, but would NEVER go any other way to Detroit.Try timing it so you cross the border EARLY AM.5 minute wait tops, plus once in Canada you get to haul,80 plus the whole way.Have fun,diz <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

At Buffalo, go I-190 to Niagara Falls, continue to Canada, where you will be on 405 in Canada, which quickly turns into the QEW highway, you will be on this for awhile, and then just north of Hamilton ONT, will see signs for 401 west, get in the left lane and follow 401 west to London, Ont, then you will see signs for 402, Sarnia, Ont, right lane. From there 60 miles to to the Michigan Border where they will ask where you are from. what year your car is and a multitude of other things they have thought of just to check out your car! Have the registration for the car, your driver's license or passport for all passengers or birth certificates then continue towards I-94 to get on I=69 West to Flint, follow directions at http://www.buickclub.org/directions.htm or email me for more help! There are at least 40 cars in a caravan fom New England and points east that will be crossing Canada from Niagara Falls, NY to Port Huron, MI on Wed. 7/23. They are overnighting in the Rochester, NY area the night before, and should arrive at the Canadian border about 9 AM Wed. These do not include a number of individual cars not included in the organized caravan. No doubt, we will be seeing/passing/following Buicks all day.

The organizer is Marc Brouilette, a BCA member from Mass. Mark has asked me to help lead the way on Wed. Since it will be difficult to keep all the cars together, especially because of delays at toll booths and customs checks,I will be passing out an instruction sheet for the Wed. run to Flint. The sheet

gives all the info the drivers will need to find the way if not using maps. Included are pit/fuel stop locations, best routes and border crossing info.
