JimmyJustice
Looking for Miller Tool # DD-1107. (circa 1945-1955) It's the tool to remove the locking ring on the fuel sending unit of my 1949 Dodge B-1-D. Unlikely anyone has it, but if you do, let me know. I know there are other options/hacks but would like the tool if possible. Thank you. JJ
Jolly_John
Hi, Jimmy. There's a chance I have this Miller tool for your vintage of MOPAR. I know I have one sender lock ring Miller tool here. Not sure if it's the number you need. I'll check my shelves and let you know. John

Jolly_John Posted yesterday at 01:18 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:18 AM Well, here we go, Jimmy. This is the gas tank sender retaining ring removal tool I've used to remove the retaining ring on my 1955 Chrysler C67. Here's the rub: There is no Miller tool part # on this tool, although the quality of the piece tells me it was factory manufactured. I'll give you the dimensions of the part of the tool that fits the sender retaining ring, so you'll be able to tell if it will work on your 1949 Dodge B-1-D. --Outer diameter of tool bottom: 2-1/2" --Outer diameter of protrusion that fits into the retaining ring: 2-3/16" --Inner diameter of protrusion that fits into the retaining ring: 2-1/32" --Width of each of the four openings that grip the "teeth" on the retaining ring: 7/16" Please let me know what you think, or if you need more information. Thanks. John
JimmyJustice
John It looks awfully close. I will measure to be sure. I will respond with measurements of my sending unit/locking ring.
c49er
That's one I've never seen...a nice variation of the Miller versions. Might be the later larger tool.
