The original 292 engine was rebuilt with new parts and upgraded to a 312. The 2 speed Fordomatic transmission was replaced with a 3 speed C-4 automatic. Power steering and under dash A/C unit was added with an alternator replacing the original generator. An aluminum radiator replaced the original. The body was disassembled down to the metal and was repainted original Fiesta Red and Colonial White. The interior seats and door panels were removed including the floor panels and reupholstered and reinstalled. The headliner and dash remain original. The mechanical condition is road ready and runs strong. Renovation was completed by a professional shop for $96,386. This vehicle was purchased on 8-15-56 for $2,972.40 in Butte, MT. The car is very clean and orginal cond. Coral pink and white color with matching two tone interior. Complete down to the orginal hubcaps! Has 4 new tires out on a few weeks ago. Beautiful classic. Won't take much to get back on the road again. All the glass is nice. Rolls and steers and ebrake works. No brake pressure currently. Fossil Posted July 28 Share Posted July 28 Unusual car drivetrain combination but I like it. As a matter of fact I like the whole car color and all. Boy could a guy get into trouble though. Sure glad I didn't find this when I was living out there. I'd have to look at the workmanship but this car could be worth the asking price.
