Look like universal replacements as opposed to being for a specific car. Would likely work well for a wide variety of era automobiles.

 

A long time ago I had a car that really needed those.

These may be Firestone rims made 1946 to 1952 at the request of James Melton. Firestone made these in several sizes to help the hobby get cars back on the road when most antique tire sizes were not available.

Layden, I was wondering about that possibility. The way the incomplete latch was made and attached had a more post era appearance about it.

 

Without again going into a long story, I suspect these would work quite well with tires mounted and aired up. A basically generic fit should work for several brands of original wheels.
