jpage
What type of fasteners are used to fasten the front and rear hood hinges on a '36 Dodge? May be the same on Plymouth. Took them off years ago and can't remember. I made up bolt kits for almost every part buy forgot the hinges. Thanks in advance for any help! R.Dan Herrera
Mine are round head 1/4 20 unless they were altered at some point. Also those hinges are unforgiving if too much pressure from the hood weight is applied. Not the best engineering so I actually installed the same type hood supports that are on the trucks and do fit under the car hood if placed very close to the firewall. Then when lifted to the inside of the raised hood they keep the lateral pressure off the hinges.I know Jim that you being a purist might not want them but they sure make worry free holding of the hood especially with a running motor during adjustments, etc.Of course the hoods can still be flipped all the way over if need be.Later, Dan
