Leif in Calif
Top of the market money for an A coupe, interesting that the Model A is one car that mods like are at least neutral and might add a little value. Plus, you wife will probably be happy to go to Pacific Grove to look! https://monterey.craigslist.org/cto/d/monterey-1930-model-ford-business-coupe/7723000074.html# 1930 Model A Ford Coupe with Rumble Seat. ~ Rebuilt Touring Motor by H and H with approx. 3,500 miles--Snyder high compression head, touring cam, SF ignition; ~ New Mitchell 3 speed synchro trans; ~ Rebuilt differential by Henningsen Vintage Auto in Salinas; ~ Original Gas tank boiled out and sealed, new instrument panel and new or rebuild gauges including speedo; ~ New Stainless Steel Bumpers and Headlights--12V Quarts. ~ New cloth interior and leather top piece--Rumble seat is original leather; ~ New safety glass; ~ New brakes, liners and backing plates, plus 16" radial tires on 1934' freshly powder coated rims; ~ New Weber down draft 2 barrel carb; ~ New 12 volt alternator, Water pump and pressurized radiator, belt and hoses; ~ Paint is still original to me--perhaps re-painted by past owner(?) suchan
If someone wanted an "A" that could be driven cross-country, this might be your car. I have no idea what all of the "improvements" cost, but I bet the total's at or over the asking price. It would look a lot better with 19" rims and blackwalls, though.
