8-Track
Decided to take a look at the ignition bits since my 90 Reatta has been running poorly and gets like 14 MPGs. I lift up the factory Magnavox coil pack and this is what I see. I have a new GM ICM and coils, secondary coils test out fine, all reading 5.5 ohms, but it'll be a bit until I can install it. Think this is why she runs so bad?
2seater
If you are talking about the sticky goo it is for certain the ICM is toast. 1
8-Track
Alright, replaced it with the Delco unit I have just to see if she'd fire up. Crank, no start. I assume the ICM is bad, but I have no way to test that. I'll have to drive my truck to work until I get a new one (and coil bolts, which I don't have yet, which is why I was gonna wait.) Edit: Nevermind!!!! It was just dirty contacts on the ICM. Gosh she runs so much smoother now. I really wanna do the plugs with the bigger gap, and also pick up those ZZP coils and 10.5mm wires Edited February 4 by 8-Track (see edit history)
