  1. ABSOLUTELY Like 1.5-2 inches lower and they'd look absolutely perfect for what they are
  2. That's the big reason I wanna try Like more power to him for being able to sell those But I can't afford that, and swapping the whole rear end and buying regular struts would still be more affordability
  3. So talking to my extremely knowledgeable friend, and he found that the 93 Allante had rear coil springs, and everything lines up to bolt in from the STS or Allante Anybody swap the rear subframe into a Reatta?
  4. Well, it wasn't the EGR valve Still stalls when I hit her with the carb cleaner, so it must be the lower gasket on that adapter plate to the intake But I don't know what to look up to find the gasket. Anybody know what key words tricky phrases I need to search to find it? Edit Figured it out, actually had the gasket already No vacuum leak at the EGR anymore, but she seems to run even worse Edit 2: My roommate found a slight vacuum leak in the hard vacuum line next to the upper motor mount. Could explain the hard shifting too, but it's not big enough to stall the engine this time
  5. Thanks! Same height tires as factory. 225/50R17s However this really emphasizes the too high ride height of the car. Gosh I wish they made mild lowering kits, like 1 to 2 inches lower would be perfect. It feels so good to not be on tires made during the Bush administration though
  6. So recently picked up a Reatta CRT, seems quite a bit corroded though. No idea how to test it to see if it works though. I'd love to send it off to get restored if it's possible, maybe see if I can adapt it for something else, like a garage stereo, or at worse, sell it to a fellow Reatta owner. Does anybody have any recommendations?
  7. Well, got a fuel pressure tester. Read about 37-38 pounds consistently, didn't bleed off fast either, though isn't it supposed to be 40-50? However, when I started spraying carb cleaner around, I got nothing UNTIL I sprayed around the EGR valve, which instantly made the car stumble and stall. So I'm gonna pick up some gaskets and see how that affects it.
  8. Yeah, it's all bolted down now. I cleaned off everything for good electrical contacts, cleaned a bunch of grounds too. No idea how old the O2 sensor is, I figured it would throw a CEL if it were that. Ooohhh, I didn't think about the fuel pressure regulator, I'll look at that. Wouldn't one of the plugs be super fouled if it were a leaky injector?
  9. Yeah, I triple checked them, and she doesn't seem to be missing at all
  10. 1990 Reatta, Delco ignition I have no idea why, but my mileage is absolutely crap. I checked all the plugs, they look good. Tried 2 different sets of coils and ICMs, no change. She does idle a bit rough, but not horribly. I was thinking fuel injectors, but the plugs aren't fouled. Fueled up the other day, and was 9.9 MPGs. What are some issues that could cause that?
  11. So I did the Delco coil pack upgrade the other day when the Magnavox failed. But it didn't come with any bolts. I thought I found the correct ones online, but when they arrived, they were too big. Since the Reatta is my daily, I had to zip tie them down until I get new ones. Does anybody know where I can find them? I had one bolt, but the threads were stripped and I don't have the correct size socket for them either (basically a shit show since I moved and my main tool box hasn't shipped from my old state yet) Also, been debating getting the ZZP coils with 10.5mm wires and iridium plugs, do you think that would be a good improvement or not really worth it?
  12. Well, since so many GM cars have the same bolt pattern, I decided to get something different so I can run the bigger brakes later down the line. Got a good deal on a set of Chevy Equinox wheels and tires (managed to fit all 4 of them in the Reatta with my roommate still in the passenger seat, it was tight) My plan is to replace the Chevy center cap with a Buick one, run 225/50R17 tires. Now I do wanna get chrome lug nuts, but I gotta make sure I get ones that seat properly, if anybody knows this, itd be appreciated. I don't remember what year they were from, but there is a pic attached below. Also, does anybody know if I can bluetooth link the TPMS to read on my phone?
  13. Alright, replaced it with the Delco unit I have just to see if she'd fire up. Crank, no start. I assume the ICM is bad, but I have no way to test that. I'll have to drive my truck to work until I get a new one (and coil bolts, which I don't have yet, which is why I was gonna wait.) Edit: Nevermind!!!! It was just dirty contacts on the ICM. Gosh she runs so much smoother now. I really wanna do the plugs with the bigger gap, and also pick up those ZZP coils and 10.5mm wires
  14. Decided to take a look at the ignition bits since my 90 Reatta has been running poorly and gets like 14 MPGs. I lift up the factory Magnavox coil pack and this is what I see. I have a new GM ICM and coils, secondary coils test out fine, all reading 5.5 ohms, but it'll be a bit until I can install it. Think this is why she runs so bad?
