blue225
Has anybody installed a digital instrument cluster in a 72 Buick Electra? If so what brand would be the best fit. I would modify the existing one. The incasement box is falling apart and can't seem to find one thus the mod. thanks
NTX5467
Your best option would be to search for a complete cluster from a salvage yard vehicle. NO aftermarket "boxes" for that vehicle. It's not a Camaro, Firebird, or other "popular" vehicle for such a modification, unfortunately. Where are you located? From what I've seen, many just use surface mount gauges and then manufacture a flat piece into which to install the gauges, then wire them all in, with the wiring and such being behind the mounting panel. The trick would then be to find a way to integrate the mounting panel to the existing tabs on the padded dash item. Just some thoughts, NTX5467
EmTee
Dakota Digital has some universal rectangular (and other) gauge sets that you may be able to adapt to replace the original analog cluster. https://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=results/category_id=69/mode=cat/cat69.htm 1
