TOM H. S.
Hi johnjohn, Hub wheel cap might be from 1940s. Go online and do a search on Nash car models and just kept on searching under IMAGES, there are many to look at. Best Wishes
drwatson
This Nash dog dish cap w/Nash logo center is not found online. Plenty of similar sized 40's 50's Nash caps are found but center motif consists of the word "NASH" written in red across face. Cap in question might be a rare 1957 dog dish (if they made one) because the full size '57 wheel cover has same center logo. 1957, last yr. for Nash. only 3651 built.

Bloo
I owned a 51 Nash Statesman, bought from the original owner, and it had the red lettered hubcaps everyone expects to see on a bathtub Nash. Every other 51 Nash I have seen also had red lettered hubcaps. Some have full wheel covers, but still the red lettering. Here is an example from the web (not my Nash). Here is a Canadian built one posted by forum member Dei, who has since passed away. Edited August 22, 2023 by Bloo (see edit history)
drwatson
So our featured cap is a one off? Canadian production? The mystery deepens.

I am more willing to go with your 1957 theory, but I just don't know. Dei's Canadian Statesman had the red lettering too, although they were full wheel covers. I have never seen a bathtub that didn't have the red letters. Export maybe? The car in the picture has Chile plates.

I think it's from a canadian production too by the way thanks to the nash car club of america, the plastic emblem came from a 1949 nash ambassador, glove box compartment emblem when there is no clock Edited August 23, 2023 by johnjohn (see edit history)
