supercub
I am looking for a terminal nut for my starter solenoid. It seems to be an oddball thread, very close to a 5/16-24. Does anyone know of a replacement or have a nut from one to sell?

I just checked my 1914-1921 Maxwell parts book and under 1918-1919 starter switch it lists (4) starter switch post nuts part # 10224 5/16-24 plain hex nut. It sounds like some previous repair involved winding on a coarse nut or a metric nut. I'd try running a 5/16-24 die over it again and see if it can be salvaged. supercub
I can try a die on the post. I took the nut which is brass off of the other side and it looks as new, it fits on the other stud.
supercub
I chased the threads, got some new nuts and it went together perfect. Thanks Howard
