Trulyvintage
The Cheetah was a serious contender to the Cobra - but GM never backed Bill Thomas fully …. @ https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a19736681/cobra-killer-time-capsule-bill-thomas-cheetah-headed-to-auction/ When I first started transporting I picked up this fiberglass bodied Cheetah south of Reno, Nevada. I ran across this image that I took when I loaded it Jim
1912Staver
Interesting cars. But far too few built to have any serious effect on Motor Sport history. I expect the one you transported was one of the later body kit cars, not a real Bill Thomas built, production Cheetah. Even the rare / famous TVR Griffith 200 / 400 saw around 250 cars produced. Trulyvintage
John Erb of Carson City, Nevada was the Seller - unfortunately he passed away in 2021. The Cheetah was sold in 2013. I transported to a private collector in Nebraska who had been trying to buy it for years. John Erb was a legendary builder of custom superchargers and high performance engine parts including pistons. I found another image of the Cheetah. Jim
