I rebuild the fuel pump fuel prove for today's fuel

Is it enough to start the engine and the fuel pump get the fuel out of the fuel tank by vacuum

Or do I need to fill the fuel pump first with fuel by taking of a screw from above the fuel pump

Thanks and enjoy

Prime your tank first.

Yes I know

There is fuel coming to the fuel pump when I disconnect the fuel line from the fuel pump and put my mouth on it

There is fuel coming so that's no problem

But when the fuel line is connected to the fuel pump

And turn the engine

There is no fuel coming out of the fuel pump

It have to come automatic by vacuum

Or do I have to put fuel first in the fuel pump for creating vacuum

Thanks

As the tank works on engine vacuum you must put fuel in the tank and start the engine before it will pump.  Fuel flows from the tank to the carburetor by gravity.
