no1parfive Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 (edited) Question: Is there a special tool used to disconnect fuel injector wires from fuel injectors? The wires are attached using snap-on clips, don't want to damage the connection trying to force the disconnect. Edited April 27, 2023 by no1parfive (see edit history)
Hemi Dude Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 (edited) Generally, a ''Quick" yank at the wiring connector, NOT THE WIRES!' will get the wiring insulator disconnected from the injector. If that doesn't work easily and you wish to be more delicate, use a sharp pointed pick to slip in between the retaining clip and the wire insulator on either side of the injector and rotate the clip around about 45 degrees and it will become loose on the other side as well and you can easily pull off the connector without worrying. Repeat on the remaining injectors. Edited April 27, 2023 by Hemi Dude (see edit history)
no1parfive Posted April 27, 2023 Author Posted April 27, 2023 Thank you, but I did find my "special tool", which was an old fashioned ice pick, which I used to pry out the retainer clip, got all disconnected.

What we are use to, works best! Ice-Picks are ‘old School’, like us. 1
