philipj
As I slowly try to correct what is missing and fix a few things, I discovered that the brake and clutch linkage is shot, and just installing the small and very expensive equalizer bushings (1310245) won't get rid of all the play in the linkage... So the question I have which may sound dumb (yet I like to confirm this so I won't ruin something that is unobtanium) is the main section and attachaching linkage cast steel or cast iron? I know the rod is steel, so I will be able to fill it in with the mig welder, but I sure don't want to take any chances on the rest. I only have one shot... JFranklin
I remember from my distant past, in shop class, that different grades of iron throw different spark showers when put against a grinding wheel. You may wish to do a little research in that direction for your answer.
