Somewhere down the line someone converted the 6V system to a 12V system. I assume the most common reason for that would be a slow crank and/or dim lights. That usually is caused by a resistance/corrosion build up on the electrical connections and in old wiring. Seller states this car had a frame off resto along the way and a rewire and the ground connections to the frame are clean. So why would you convert it to 12V with an alternator that looks out of place?  This car is originally built using mechanical brake and I see the master cylinder access plug in the floor board but no where in the description is it noted that the conversion was done!

All in all this 36 Ford looks pretty good. The seller is asking 32 grand which is fair but is negotiable. That said whomever buys this car can probably get a good deal.
