So, with a multimeter set to ohms, check between pins #1 & 2 for continuity. A further check is to apply 12V to the terminal with orange wire and check continuity between pins #1 & 3. While doing so, the blower should come ON Full if connected. This is bypassing everything else. If relay is OK, check for voltage with the blower connected and switch on Med then Low. Perhaps the switch has gone flakey. Also, check the "16- Brown dbl white stripe" for 12V with switch ON. Relays seldom malfunction. The switch seems to be the weak component. The relay appears to be a simple SPDT. If you can't find a replacement, source a universal relay. Hella is a good brand on your side of the Atlantic. When I ever get around to my 1st Gen HVAC, I might change out the whole fan control to a PWM controller. Here's a Kemo unit. 10A may not be enough but they have a 40A version I believe. Use a 2500 ohm potentiometer or fixed resistors: https://www.kemo-electronic.de/en/Transformer-Dimmer/Controller/Modules/M171-PWM-Power-control-9-28-V-DC-max-10-A.php Edited January 31, 2023 by XframeFX (see edit history)
