8 track to cassette converter

My dads 73 Electra has a AM/8 Track Stereo in it and I was wondering if any of you might have a converter that was made to plug into an 8 track to play cassetteds. I had one in the late 70s early 80s but it didnt work very well because the tape would drag. I now have a XM radio unit that is very protable and it uses a cassette adapter to run throught the stereo. This unit wouldn't matter if it did drag and I would like to find one of these old adapters so I wouldnt have to remove the original radio from the car. I can't find the one I had and have moved several time so imagine it was thrown out.

I have one but found it didn't work too well with the Delco radio unit. With the cassette loaded into the adapter, the stabilizer "ears" on the cassette were too wide to fit in the 8-track opening.

To get a working cassette and keep some semblance of originality in my 76 Regency, I used a 1980s Delco digital tuner AM-FM-cassette. It fits that dash like it was made for it and except for having to drop the lower dash for access, was easily installed.

Sid;

I have one that I used in my 73 Riv,which I sold a few years ago. If you are going to Helen GA for the BDE national ,I will give it to you there . This may be considered a partial payment for the tow in Canada last year. If you are not going to Helen, I will have it for you in Flint.
