AMB
Hi to everyone. Looking to remove rear bumper on 1965 Riviera. Would like some direction. Are the tail lights removed with bumper or does the bumper slide off lights. Are there more than the 4 bolts that need to be removed. Any info greatly appreciated. Thank you. abandg
Grab a friend. Take ehe bracket bolts out and pull back at the frame. You can then remove the brackets when the bumper is on the ground, The tail light stay in. You will have to unplug the light wire before removal. It's not yo hard but is is a little heavy and the bolts should be sprayed before removal. I hope this helps. Gene.
Seafoam65
As Gene stated, the whole assembly must be removed, then everything else is removed from the bumper from the back side after the bumper is removed from the car. It takes about 90 seconds to remove the bumper from the car, but it is a two man job.
